這是一部以警匪相斗為背景的鬼怪片。影片講述了警官高天進因涉嫌勾結黑道走私軍火，而遭到原來同事和部下沙鈿友等人的追捕。雙方追逐中二人因舊職不忍開槍相向。而此時沙鈿友不慎在香蕉林中救出了女鬼小蓮，這倒給二人解了難堪的困境。經談判，沙限令高于一月之內交出黑道頭目王天龍的所有犯罪資料便可洗清高之罪名。然而，警署并不同意沙鈿友的這種做法。警署幫辦沙鈿友的表哥認為沙屢次辦事不爽，大為不滿，決定另派人經辦此案。
氣憤之下，沙鈿友終日郁郁寡歡，只有女鬼小蓮不時安慰，為其解困，二人不知不覺日久生情，演繹出了一起人鬼之戀……
